Kenyan coffee is celebrated as unique and is renowned for its pronounced, bold and distinctive Acidity. Kenya AA is mostly produced in the regions of Meru, Embu, Nyeri, Muranga, Kirinyaga, and Kangundo, and the best-rated coffees from these areas vary from year to year. The AA Plus designation refers to a bean with an 18 or above screen size and a Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) cupping score ranging from 85 to 90.

The mineral-rich volcanic soil coupled with an annual rainfall provides an ideal climate to develop aromatic and flavorful coffees with notes of stone fruits and a lovely floral aroma.

    HOW TO BREW

    For Drip Coffee

    1. Measure 50-55g (10 tbsp) of medium ground coffee (like sand).
    2. Add grounds to a filter in the chamber.
    3. Fill the reservoir with enough water.
    4. Fire up the machine, kick back and enjoy.

Use a different method? Check our brew guide.

    ROASTED AT ALTITUDE

All our beans are roasted on-site in the heart of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. At high altitude, the lower roasting temperatures allow the natural sugars in the coffee beans to caramelize slowly. This unique process creates deep, rich flavor profiles and smooth textures — without the bitterness.

    RESPONSIBLY SOURCED

At VMCT, we take pride in fostering direct relationships with growers to ensure that every coffee bean and tea leaf we source is responsibly cultivated. We’re committed to ethical, organic, and sustainable practices, understanding that certification standards can vary across the globe. That’s why we go the extra mile to research and verify that our producers meet rigorous organic and bio-dynamic farming standards. For us, it’s not just about great coffee and tea — it’s about honoring the land and the people who bring it to life.

    Behind the Beans

    BREWED AT HIGHer STANDARDS

Situated at 8,000 feet, Vail Mountain Coffee & Tea is one of the highest altitude coffee roasters of its size in the world. With the dry mountain air, we are able to minimize moisture absorption which, in turn, allows us to deliver a fresher, longer lasting coffee.
