BREWING COFFEE

Now that you are all set up with our delicious coffee, it’s time to learn how to brew your own perfect cup to start your mornings off right. The brew guide below will go a long way to ensuring each and every cup you brew is one of perfection!

Chemex & Pour Over

Per Serve: 24–28g of coarse ground coffee and 450g of boiled water.

  1. Place a filter in the Chemex, rinse the filter through with hot water, and then discard water.
  2. Place the coffee grounds in the filter and gently shake to level them.
  3. Pour 50g of water into the center of the grounds, moving outward. Let the coffee “bloom” for 45–55 seconds.
  4. Pour 200g of water over the grounds, starting at the center and moving outward. Avoid wetting above the grounds. Let it drip through.
  5. Repeat with the remaining 200g of water. Let the brew finish dripping through. Enjoy!

Aim for a total brew time of 3.5–4.5 minutes. Adjust the grind size if it’s too fast or slow.

French Press

Per Serve: 35g of coarse ground coffee and 520g of boiled water.

  1. Place the grounds in the French Press and pour in 65g of hot water. Stir gently with a long spoon, and let it “bloom” for 30 seconds.
  2. Pour in the remaining water, place the plunger on top (without pushing it down, yet), and let it steep for 4 minutes.
  3. Slowly press down the plunger. If there’s resistance, the grind may be too fine; if it’s too easy, it may be too coarse.
  4. Serve into your favorite mug and enjoy!

AeroPress

Per Serve: 16g of medium course ground coffee and 200 grams of boiled water.

  1. Insert a paper filter into the cap, then wet it with a little hot water to help it stick and warm the AeroPress.
  2. Add the coffee grounds and shake to level.
  3. Pour in hot water, filling up to level 1 on the chamber.
  4. Stir the coffee for about 10 seconds.
  5. Insert the plunger and press down gently, stopping when you feel resistance, until the plunger reaches the grounds. Enjoy!

Drip Coffee

Per Serve: 50-55g of medium - course grind beans.

  1. Place filter into brew basket and pour in your ground coffee.
  2. Pour filtered water to top of reservoir and Press start.
  3. Enjoy with your favorite mug!
